Card Castle

WALT: Work in a team Last week on Tuesday we were in Kiwi Can playing a game called card castle. We were versing the girls. In fact we had to build a castle with cards and see who’s one is the best. And that's how you would win. The game sounded so wonderful I said “WOW!!!. We started building our card castle but it kept on falling and we had to rebuild it again and again until there was no time so we made a little castle. Furthermore we made a castle that would not take long and that would not fall over and over again and again. The castle never fell when someone stomped so we won. I was so happy I said “Yeah!!!!!!

Flag Football-Kiwi Sport

On Monday the 20th of October we went to Kiwi sport in the hall. We had to have Kiwisport in the hall because it was wet outside. When we got there we saw two coaches. They taught us what we're playing American football or rippa rugby. They said that we have to learn about American football the position is quarterback.When you throw you turn it around. When you catch you make a diamond shape and when you hold the football you have to make sure it's touching your elbow and chest.

Tuakana Teina

WALT: Learning from each other and learning with each other.

Yesterday on Wednesday we had Tuakana Teina day in Room three. We were making earthquake houses to test. But first we had to go over all the rules in a group. Then we had to watch a video of a earthquake house getting tested with no materials then with materials after.

Before we  made our earthquake houses we had to plan what materials we are going to use to improve our houses. We had to record ourselves explaining our planning. Then we had to build it. With doors and windows. After that people chose to paint it.


Furthermore after you have built it you have to put materials on our earthquake houses to make it ready to get tested by Miss Gormly’s phone on an app.


In addition it got tested and we had to record it well it’s getting tested from Miss Gormly’s phone on the app and we made sure that there is a cardboard our earthquake house.

I will no cause harm to others and only practise boxing in a safe environment under  the guidance of a coach.

In boxing we were very hot from working physically. Our hands were very sweaty from wearing the enormous boxing gloves.

Magic snow

Amazing, magic snow ! In the morning Room 8 students
made a  science experience.

Firstly Ms Bracey explained the history of the
 magic snow. The magic snow was called polymer. Polymer
is a type of science ingredient. We used it for chemistry.
We had to use are ears to listen to Ms Bracey. We carefully
followed instructions. On the back of the packet there are
warning notes and a little drawing in the conner.

Secondly we had to cut the packet. We had to put in this transparent
cup. We poured ½ cup of cold water for the tap in the cup. I was
so excited.
Finally The polymer absorbed  and then rose up like a muffin.

I was shocked because it felt like cotton candy.
